iHub Robotics raises $43 million to create India’s biggest humanoid robotics hub
iHub Robotics, a leading Indian startup in the field of humanoid robotics, has raised 43 million($520K) in pre-seed funding from American investors. The firm will use this money to set up India’s largest humanoid robotics manufacturing hub in Kerala, strengthening its vision to make India a world leader in robotics and AI-driven automation. Also, iHub Robotics will generate more than 150 new employment opportunities within the next two years, helping to build India’s deep-tech ecosystem.
Tara Gen-1: India’s Most Advanced Semi-Humanoid Robot
iHub Robotics has already established itself globally, as its semi-humanoid robot Tara Gen-1 has been exported to the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Tara Gen-1 is India’s best semi-humanoid robot, backed by state-of-the-art AI and robotics technology. It has been developed to function in several industries, ranging from hospitality and healthcare to airports, railway stations, and customer service, where it will add efficiency and automate work.
What distinguishes Tara Gen-1 is its sophisticated human behavioral intelligence, allowing it to:
•Identify and react to human emotions
•Converse naturally with AI-driven speech
•Adjust to different environments with real-time decision-making
•Guide customers through navigation, questions, and tailored service
•Function in multi-language environments with ease
iHub Robotics Honored by NVIDIA for Innovation in Humanoid Robotics
iHub Robotics was, in January 2025, the first Indian organization to be officially endorsed by NVIDIA, selected for the exclusive NVIDIA Humanoid Robotics Program. This endorsement speaks volumes about the company’s path-breaking work in robotics and AI, opening the door to advanced NVIDIA technologies, research partnerships, and international networking opportunities.
Training the Next Generation of Robotics and AI Talent
Aside from creating humanoid robots, iHub Robotics also aims to influence the future of robotics and AI by opening the iHub School of Learning. The platform focuses on training and mentoring students in robotics and AI with the lofty objective of equipping 100,000 students with key skills in deep-tech.
Athil Krishna, iHub Robotics CEO, said, “This funding is a milestone in our Physical AI vision of having intelligent robots integrate smoothly into industries to enhance human capabilities. We do not aim to merely create robots, but to enable a future where AI-powered automation revolutionizes industries worldwide. With our growth, we hope to create 150 new jobs over the next two years, fueling India’s deep-tech revolution.”
With AI and robotics developing at a breakneck pace, iHub Robotics is making India a leader in the sector, developing path-breaking solutions that are set to transform industries globally.
