Post their heartbreaking loss in the 3rd Test, Team India traveled to Beckenham, where they started their preparations for the big 4th Test. India also faced an injury concern, as Arshdeep Singh reportedly suffered a blow to his bowling hand.
Rishabh Pant’s availability for the 4th Test also remains uncertain. The keeper-batter suffered a blow to his right index finger while keeping during the first innings of the Lord’s Test.
Dhruv Jurel, the other wicket-keeper in the squad, was seen having wicket-keeping drills in India’s training session, which further sparked the debate over Pant’s inclusion.
With India trailing the series 2-1, Manchester awaits a very tough challenge for the young side. Out of their 9 games at the venue, India has never won a Test match at Old Trafford. The side will have to be at their best to turn the fortunes and level the series ahead of the 5th Test.
