Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) gets green light for GIFT city campus AHMEDABAD: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) received approval from the Ministry of Education to open an off-campus centre at the GIFT Tower-II at GIFT City in Gandhinagar, the Union govt said on Tuesday. The centre will offer IIFT’s MBA in International Business programme, along with short-term courses and research in international trade.The approval comes under the UGC’s 2023 regulations, following IIFT’s compliance with the Letter of Intent issued in January 2025. The institute submitted a roadmap for a multidisciplinary campus, faculty plan, academic offerings, and a modern library.“Heartiest congratulations to IIFT on getting approval to open its new off-campus centre in GIFT City. This paves the way for training talent in MBA (International Business) and research in International Trade,” said Union Minister Piyush Goyal in a social media post.The GIFT City centre is expected to play a key role in building trade-ready talent and advancing India’s global trade ambitions.
