India’s All-Party Parliamentary delegation assured of Guyana’s support in war against terrorism

The Indian High Commission, in a press release, says that India has been assured of support in its war against terrorism from the Government of Guyana, the Indian diaspora and Friends of India in Guyana. The disclosure from the High Commission followed a visit to Guyana by an All-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament,
The delegation, according to the release, met with President Irfaan Ali, Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo, Prime Minister Mark Phillips (Retd), Minister of Health Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Finance Dr. Ashni Singh, Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha, Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall and Minister within the Ministry of Housing & Water Susan Rodrigues and other members of the Cabinet, as well as other functionaries of the state, media and Indian nationals studying in Guyana. The delegation also met with Speaker of the National Assembly, Manzoor Nadir. Additionally, the release said that the delegation met with members of the Indian Diaspora and Friends of India.
