India’s award-winning Olympian is now an Ola driver

Parag Patil, who won two gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals for India, is driving an Ola taxi on the streets of Mumbai. Arya Singh Kushwaha, a young businessman from Mumbai tracked down Parag Patil and wrote about him in detail on LinkedIn.

Aryan Singh Kushwaha wrote, “My Ola driver is an Olympian. Parag Patil, Senior Olympian. Parag Patil finished second in Asia in triple jump and third in Asia in long jump. Every time he has represented India at international level. He has won 2 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals. Yet he lacks financial means. He does not have enough funds to support his family. He had to give up on his athletic career. This post is for anyone who can help Parag. So that he will again represent India and make India victorious at the international level.”
