India’s Solar Module Manufacturing Capacity in ALMM Surges to 119 GW – Asia Pacific
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 30,349 MW of solar module capacity in List-I. With this, the cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM has increased to 119,254 MW.
New entrants include Indosol Solar (472 MW), Pravanya Solar (79 MW), Premier Energies Global Environment (1,085 MW), Green Brilliance Renewable Energy (32 MW), Contendre Greenergy (45 MW), Nextbrio Industries (21 MW) and Amrut Energy (48 MW). The total number of manufacturers listed in the ALMM stands at 106.
Delisted companies that are added back include Agrawal Renewable Energy (125 MW) and Unique Sun Power (160 MW).
The existing companies that have increased their capacities are ReNew Photovoltaics (4,692 MW), Oswal Solar Structure (513 MW), Insolation Green Energy (637 MW), Integrated Batteries India (93 MW), Navitas Green Solutions (250 MW), Pahal Solar (282 MW), SAN Energy and Solution (27 MW), Surya International Enterprise (77 MW), Solex Energy (1,348 MW), Mundra Solar PV in Co-ALMM with Goldi Solar (187 MW), Renewsys India (1,773 MW), ADM Solar Power & Infrastructure (514 MW), Goldi Sun (4,588 MW), Gautam Solar (852 MW), Luminous Power Technologies (564 MW) and Waaree Energies (10,886 MW).
The List was last updated on April 21, 2025. Among the key additions to the list were Websol Energy System (242 MW), Knack Energy (598 MW), Rayon Illuminations Solar Solutions (62 MW), and Loom Solar (43 MW).
Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.
Solar Cells will also come under the ambit of ALMM from June 1, 2026 onwards and will be listed under List-II.
