International Export Trade & Resource Seminar Set for Sept. 19
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Businesses seeking to expand into global markets and strengthen supply chain operations will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights at the International Export Trade & Resource Seminar at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 19 at Haltec Corp., 120 Industry St., Leetonia.
The seminar will feature keynote speaker María Arraiza-Monteux, a supply chain operational excellence expert with more than 30 years of experience. Arraiza-Monteux will outline strategies to build capability in the end-to-end supply chain and improve operational efficiency.
Agenda highlights include:
- Tariffs and trade policy updates: Clarity on current tariff structures and their impact on global business.
- Risk mitigation strategies: Actionable steps companies can take to reduce exposure to international trade risks.
- Export internship program: How businesses can leverage student talent to support export growth.
- Supply chain management and operational excellence: Approaches to strengthening supply chains for long-term success.
The event is presented by Magnet and the Ohio SBDC Export Assistance Network at Youngstown State University, in partnership with the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber. Breakfast and refreshments will be provided. The speaker list also includes Mousa Kassis, director of the EAN at YSU, with Mariah Hauser, international trade specialist with the EAN at YSU, serving as panel moderator.
