International Film Festival Coming to Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) — A global film festival will have a screening venue right here in Chattanooga.
The Chattanooga Public Library is co-hosting this event along with Manhattan Short.
The screening will take place at the Don Eaves Heritage House in East Brainerd during the first week of October.
The festival will be hosted at locations around the world, featuring short films from multiple countries.
Attendees can vote on their favorite short film, along with audiences from across the globe.
Countries represented include Spain, Mexico, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Israel.
If you want to see short films like Zodiac, Beyond Silence, and Paradise Man, this is the show for you.
Admittance is free, and the recommended minimum age is Fifteen.
Will O’Hearn, Executive Director of the Chattanooga Public Library told us, “You can go ahead and watch these ten short films there at Heritage House, and you can help pick the winner, Chattanoogans can help pick the winner. Where else can you watch an international film festival right here in Chattanooga without even leaving your back yard?”
The Chattanooga Library’s pop-up library van nick-named Poppy will also be present at the event.
