iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro: Check prices in India, UAE, the US, design, camera, chipset and more – Technology News
Buzz around the upcoming iPhone 17 series has been growing rapidly, fueled by its nearing launch along with a wave of leaks and speculation. Apple is expected to roll out the iPhone 17 series with four different variants. The lineup may include the regular iPhone 17, a sleeker and lighter iPhone 17 Air, along with the premium iPhone 17 Pro and the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max. Reports suggest that the new series will arrive with an enhanced version of Dynamic Island, offering a more fluid, seamless, and user-friendly experience. According to leaks, the iPhone 17 Air is set to be the highlight of the lineup, featuring a slimmer build that takes the place of the outgoing Plus variant. The Pro editions are tipped to carry forward advancements in camera systems, superior displays, and next-gen processors. Apple is also anticipated to focus heavily on power optimization and AI-powered capabilities, seamlessly integrated with iOS 19.
iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro: Design
Apple is expected to bring notable enhancements with the iPhone 17 lineup. For the first time, all models — not just the Pro versions — may feature ProMotion displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. The devices are also rumored to use LTPO OLED panels capable of supporting always-on display functionality, though it remains uncertain if this will extend to the standard and Air editions.
Well-known leaker Majin Bu claims that the iPhone 17 Pro will debut a vapor chamber cooling system. “Based on insider information, fresh details suggest Apple is working on improving thermal performance for the Pro model,” the tipster noted. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Air — expected to succeed the iPhone 16 Plus — could showcase a redesigned camera layout. Unlike the others, it reportedly has a slimmer profile with a pill-shaped horizontal camera housing that accommodates a single rear lens.
iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro: Chipset
Inside, the iPhone 17 series is rumored to run on Apple’s upcoming A19 processor, designed using an improved 3nm architecture. The Pro versions are expected to be equipped with the more powerful A19 Pro chip, offering enhanced speed and greater power efficiency. Additionally, reports suggest that the iPhone 17 Air could be the first to debut Apple’s custom-built 5G modem, moving away from Qualcomm’s hardware, though mmWave support may still be absent.
iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro: Camera
Every iPhone model slated for release in 2025 is rumored to receive a significant front camera boost, upgrading from the 12MP sensor found in the iPhone 16 series to a new 24MP selfie lens. This improvement is expected to deliver crisper images and give users more flexibility when cropping photos without compromising on detail.
At the premium end, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is reportedly set to boast a triple 48MP camera system, consisting of a Wide lens, an Ultra Wide lens, and a Tetraprism Telephoto lens. If true, it would mark the first iPhone to feature three 48MP rear cameras. Additionally, the device is rumored to bring 8K video recording capabilities, another first for Apple’s flagship lineup.
iPhone 17 vs iPhone 17 Pro: Prices in India, UAE and the US
Rumors indicate that the iPhone 17 Air might launch at a price of $949 (approximately Rs 94,900), making it a bit more expensive than the Plus model it replaces. The iPhone 17 Pro is anticipated to be priced from $1,049 (around Rs 1,21,900 in India), while the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max could arrive with a starting tag of $1,249 (roughly Rs 1,39,900).
