iPhone Air price in India: Check how much you have to spend to get Apple’s thinnest phone yet
Apple’s 2025 iPhone 17 lineup has launched in India, and prices reflect the premium ambitions of the new devices.
The new iPhone Air, Apple’s thinnest and most stylish model yet, comes at Rs 1,49,900 for the 256GB version, making it the priciest in the lineup.
Despite its higher cost, the Air promises a combination of portability, performance, and design that Apple hopes will appeal to users seeking both elegance and power in a single device.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 17 starts at Rs 82,900 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are priced at Rs 1,19,900 and Rs 1,34,900, respectively.
iPhone Air: Apple’s slimmest powerhouse
Live Events
While the iPhone 17 series includes redesigned Pro models and the standard iPhone 17, the real head-turner is the iPhone Air. At just 5.6mm thick, it is Apple’s slimmest iPhone ever, yet it packs a punch. Powered by the A19 Pro chip, it ensures smooth multitasking, gaming, and media consumption. The 6.5-inch OLED display with ProMotion support delivers vivid visuals with up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, while the titanium frame and Ceramic Shield protection ensure durability. The Air also features a 48MP Fusion rear camera, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 18MP Center Stage front camera for high-quality selfies and video calls. Even with its slim body, the Air can last up to 40 hours of video playback, and its eSIM-only design allows for a larger battery.
The standard iPhone 17 has also received notable upgrades, including a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display with 120Hz ProMotion, the A19 chip, and a dual Fusion camera system with a 48MP main lens and 2x telephoto lens. For users who want advanced photography and performance, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max deliver professional-grade tools, including triple 48MP Fusion cameras, up to 8x optical zoom, ProRes RAW support, Apple Log 2, and the first vapor-chamber cooling system in an iPhone. The Pro Max offers the best battery life ever in an iPhone, lasting up to 39 hours of video playback.
Colors, AI Features, and India manufacturing
The new iPhones come in fresh colors: the Air in black, white, light gold, and sky blue; the standard iPhone 17 in black, white, steel gray, light blue, green, and purple; and the Pro models in bold blue, orange, and silver. All four devices run iOS 26, featuring Apple Intelligence with AI-powered tools for real-time translation, smarter photo processing, call and message screening, and enhanced privacy with on-device processing.
For India, the launch is especially significant: the iPhone 17 series is being produced at Foxconn’s massive Bengaluru facility, one of the largest Apple production plants in the country. This marks a major step in Apple’s long-term strategy to make India a global manufacturing hub. Pre-orders begin September 12, with sales starting September 19, making this a landmark moment for both Apple and its Indian customers.
