Irvington High School Sophomores Earn Top Honors at Somers Science Fair – River Journal Online

Twenty-nine sophomores from Irvington High School recently participated in the Somers Science Fair, a prestigious competition designed for first-year science research students to present their proposed studies. Competing against more than 700 students from 38 schools across the region, the Irvington students delivered an outstanding performance.

Congratulations to the following 12 students who earned top honors in their respective categories:

  • Abigail Choi – 1st place, Animal Science.
  • Chloe Swift – 1st place, Cell and Molecular Biology.
  • Glen Feng – 1st place, Plant Science.
  • Iris Ma – 1st place, Medicine and Health.
  • Petra Rancic – 1st place, Behavioral Science.
  • Harrison Gredick – 2nd place, Cell and Molecular Biology.
  • Levent Sarayli – 2nd place, Environmental.
  • Tyler O’Donnell – 2nd place, Medicine and Health.
  • Orian Ben-Ari – 2nd place, Medicine and Health.
  • Niccolo Uccellini – 3rd place, Bioinformatics.
  • Ryan Platzman – 3rd place, Cell and Molecular Biology.
  • Anthony Panarelli – 3rd place, Environmental.

“We are thrilled by our students’ enthusiasm and the strong, inspiring start they are making in the science research program,” Science Research Program teachers Amy Ma and Nadia Parrika said.
