In the past few days, Delhi and its neighbouring regions have experienced multiple small earthquakes. Tremors were reported in Jhajjar, Rohtak and most recently a 3.2 magnitude earthquake in Faridabad.
These incidents have caused panic among people. Alarmingly, these seismic events seem to be inching closer to the heart of the national capital, sparking anxiety. Many people have linked this to The Great Himalayan Earthquake. This has raised multiple questions: Is Delhi sitting on the brink of a major earthquake? If so, when might it occur and what could be the intensity?
We spoke to Sidhharrth S Kumaar, Chief Astrologer, NumroVani, about the same. He made some prediction regarding earthquakes in Delhi.
Will There Be A Massive Earthquake In Delhi?
Sidhharrth says, “In the next three to five years, I don’t see any signs that a severe earthquake will happen in Delhi. But there may be some little earthquakes or ground movements, especially in the second half of 2025, around the monsoon and early fall months, and again in the first few months of 2026.”
He explains, “During these times, Uranus will go through Taurus and then back into Aries, while Saturn will be in Pisces. These alignments show that there is pressure beneath and a chance of little earthquakes in the area, but the overall astrological picture does not point to a big earthquake that would directly impact Delhi during this time.”
Sidhharrth says that the risk gets worse by 2028. “When Saturn goes into Aries, it means that built-up energy will be released through abrupt, strong occurrences. Uranus stays in Gemini and is joined by Ketu, a node that has long been linked to sudden karmic changes and underground explosions,” he explains.
According to the Koorma Chakra, which connects Gemini with the north–northwestern zone of India, this convergence is astrologically strong and indicates a very sensitive time for seismic activity, especially in Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Western Uttar Pradesh.
In his concluding statement, he explained that it looks like Delhi is safe from a large earthquake in the near future, at least until 2025 and into 2026. However, the astrological signs become stronger and stronger by 2027 and 2028. This is a time when the chance of earthquakes in North India is higher, and tectonic activity could happen sooner in nearby areas of South and Southeast Asia, which could have an effect on India’s peripheral areas.
