Israel halts humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip
Israel has suspended the release of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said, APA reports.
It was noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made this decision due to the completion of the first phase of the agreement on the exchange of prisoners and hostages and the refusal of HAMAS to accept the proposal of the US President’s representative Steve Witkoff on a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the Ramadan and Passover holidays and the release of hostages. The transportation of all humanitarian goods and cargo to Gaza has been suspended since this morning.
Note that HAMAS announced that it did not accept Stephen Whitkoff’s proposal because Israel did not want to start the second phase of the agreement, which includes the release of all prisoners and hostages and the declaration of a complete ceasefire.
