Jeremy Allen White Is the New Face of Louis Vuitton

In real life, Jeremy Allen White tends to dress a lot like Carmy Berzatto, the nose-to-the-grindstone Chicago chef he portrays in the hit FX series The Bear. “I’m not a fashion guy really,” the actor told me, definitely too modestly, last summer. “Carmy’s uniform of work pants and a T-shirt is more my—Jeremy’s—style. Our styles sort of bled together.”

But ever since The Bear turned him into a megastar, White’s had some shiny new sartorial resources at his disposal. His daily wardrobe of jeans, tees, and sneakers has undergone subtle upgrades. Working with stylist Jamie Mizrahi, he’s become an adept wearer of suits, looking as relaxed and natural in elegant tailoring as he does in a rumpled polo and faded Mets hat. Last month, he attended his first Met Gala with Louis Vuitton’s cohort, in a three-piece kit designed by Pharrell Williams. Today, the French luxury house announces White as their newest brand ambassador.

Behold: Jeremy Allen White, fashion guy.

“I’m dressing up more now, even for some things that may be more casual,” White told GQ via email this week. “Even if I’m gonna be in a pair of old jeans and a T-shirt, it feels good to throw on a pair of beautiful shoes, or a really good jacket, just try and elevate a little where I can.”

On the red carpet, he added, “I think it’s all about the tailoring and the materials. I wanna feel sharp, I wanna feel tough.”

White was brought into the Louis Vuitton fold by way of Mizrahi, whose client roster also includes Jennifer Lawrence, Mikey Madison, and Cooper Koch. “There’s such a history there, their clothes are so well made, so much care goes into all the pieces,” the actor said of the brand. The opportunity has also allowed him to become personally acquainted with Pharrell, the house’s men’s creative director since 2023—and White’s one-time opponent in GQ’s annual Most Stylish Man reader poll. (“I still feel like you guys were fucking with me with that face-off,” White said in his email, doubling down on his stance from last summer.)

“Pharrell has been a part of music and fashion and culture as a whole as far back as I can remember,” White said. “He’s always looked good, he’s always looked cool, he’s always set trends. I think he’s just given me confidence to step out of my comfort zone a bit and try new things. He’s a legend.”

As it turns out, the feeling is mutual. “Jeremy’s got a quiet confidence and authenticity that you can’t fake. It’s effortless,” Williams said in a statement. “At Louis Vuitton, it’s about real people who move culture forward—and Jeremy lives that. We’re proud to welcome him into the family.”
