John Cena made his much-awaited debut in India at the Superstar Spectacle and teamed up with Seth Rollins in the main event of the show. And unlike his previous trip, the leader of Cenation performed live for the Indian audience.Cena made a winning debut at Superstar Spectacle in the tag team match against Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. The WWE legend is known for putting over superstars and he did the same during the match.
Kaiser and Vinci had the upper hand for the majority of the duration of the match. The tag team of Cena and Rollins allowed the members of the Imperium to have their moment and gain the lead.
In the end, Cena and Rollins clawed back into the match and emerged victorious. Both the legends pinned one superstar each and the referee did the count with both arms.
The crowd went berserk as Cena made a winning in-ring return. He received a huge ovation during his entrance as well. The crowd sang his song to welcome him and Cena seemed to be elated with the crowd’s reaction.
The future WWE Hall of Famer doesn’t compete in the ring regularly and is on the cusp of his retirement. At Superstar Spectacle, Cena made sure that he competed in India once before calling it quits.
The 16-time World Champion will be a regular on WWE TV going ahead and will be appearing on every Smackdown till the end of October. He will be part of the Grayson Waller Effect on the next week’s show.
Cena isn’t expected to take part in any match during his two-month run with the company. He could have a special role at WWE Fastlane, scheduled to take place on October 7.
