Kent American Roots Music Festival Features Free Music All Over Town

Thorne Musica

The Kent American Roots Festival is back again, where you can stop in at 19 different bars, restaurants and clubs around town to hear as many bands and musicians, including folksingers, bluegrass artists, folk rock bands, Americana bands, and even a duo called Thorne Musica that plays traditional European instrumental music. Some of the artists are well-known regulars in the NE Ohio music scene — many will be familiar with veteran singer/songwriter Jon Mosey, or Colin John, Cory Grinder and the Playboy Scouts, Kevin Richards, Country Honk and Maura Rogers & the Bellows. But you might discover a new favorite you’d never heard of before.

All the music is free, and you can find a schedule of artists, venues and times here.
