He then said that for a long time, he felt like he disliked the kind of movies he was doing. He said “I acted in Collector Gari Abbayi with my father. Then I worked with Dasari Narayana Rao on Majnu. That film gave me a real break then Aakhari Poratam’ gave me a commercial breakthrough, but the credit went more to director Raghavendra Rao garu and heroine Sridevi than to me. I was just like a puppet in that film. Honestly, I didn’t like the movies I had done up to that point. That’s when I decided, that no matter what others say, I should do films that I personally feel good about.”

Nagarjuna’s contribution to cinema extends beyond acting. He has been instrumental in bringing new-age talent and filmmaking, to Annapurna Studios. He was last seen in Kuberaa in which he was seen alongside Dhanush. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film earned over Rs 100 crore at the box office. He was also seen in Rajinikanth’s Coolie, in which he played Simon, a kingpin who is part of a syndicate. Fans are currently awaiting for official announcement of his 100th film.
