KPIT partners with JSW Motors for software and systems development

IT services firm KPIT Technologies today announced a partnership with automotive firm JSW Motors. Under this partnership, JSW Motors will leverage KPIT’s expertise in software and systems development, including multiple Software Defined Vehicle programs (SDVs).
JSW Motors, the newly launched automotive business vertical of the JSW Group, is investing $3 billion over the next five years to develop and manufacture electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid vehicles in India. The company’s first New Energy Vehicle (NEV) is set to debut on the Indian roads in the second half of FY2026. The company is also developing a 630-acre automotive hub under development in Bidkin, Maharashtra.

This partnership reflects our strategic focus on the Indian market and our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology that enhances customer experiences and accelerates clean mobility,” said Kishor Patil, CEO & MD of KPIT Technologies.
“The partnership will include KPIT bringing advanced competencies in electric propulsion systems, battery innovation, and SDV architectures that enable continuous feature upgrades and superior consumer experiences.”
Ranjan Nayak, CEO of JSW Motors, further added that KPIT will adopt global best practices and technical capabilities to set up a dedicated center of excellence for JSW Motors.
The Pune-headquartered IT firm also announced its quarterly results. KPIT’s net profit for the quarter stood at ₹171.9 crore, down from ₹204.2 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations showed a 12.76% YoY increase, growing to ₹1,538.76 crore from ₹1,364.63 crore in Q1 FY25.
