MINNEAPOLIS — Concordia linebacker Kyle Mages had two interceptions, including a pick-six, to spark the Cobbers to a 26-7 victory against Augsburg on Saturday in MIAC football at Edor Nelson Field.
Mages returned an interception 17 yards for a touchdown to give Concordia a 13-0 lead with 7 minutes, 28 seconds remaining in the second quarter. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker also had nine tackles, including 1.5 for a loss.
The Cobbers (5-2, 4-2 MIAC) have won four of their past four games. They next host Bethel at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Jake Christiansen Stadium.
Cobbers sophomore Mason Hughes rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts. Sophomore quarterback Nick Walter added a 6-yard touchdown run and Ron Gallegos caught a 27-yard TD from QB Jersey Selzler.
