Kylie Minogue does K-pop on new music competition show

Kylie Minogue has performed a new duet of Can’t Get You Out of My Head with Korean boybanders on new international music competition KPopped.

The new song battle format debuted on Friday, streaming on Apple TV+. The eight episode series features a ridiculously star-studded lineup of musicians paired up with K-pop idols who go up against each other to perform new versions of their biggest hits.

They perform the songs in front of an audience who votes for which one is KPopped the best, including visuals, vocals and choreography.

Kylie collaborated with members of the K-pop group Ateez and filmed the show in Seoul, South Korea.

“She was just so open to the whole format and working with Ateez,” executive producer Moira Ross told the ABC.

“Part of the format of the show is that the visiting artists get to experience cultural moments, and, of course, with Kylie, Ateez took her along to a traditional fan dance, and they had a great time.

“It wasn’t her very first experience of Seoul. But I think she stayed on a couple of extra days so that she could really explore and enjoy her time out in Korea.”

Joining Kylie on KPopped are Kesha, Boy George, Taylor Dayne, Patti LaBelle, the Spice Girls, Boyz II Men, TLC, Eve,  J Balvin, Ava Max, Jess Glynne, and Vanilla Ice.

The KPop idols on the show are bands Billie, Itzy, Kep1er, JO1, Stayc, Kiss of Life, Blackswan and Ateez.

KPopped is streaming now on Apple TV+.

Kylie Minogue finishes her Tension Tour

KPopped dropped just days after Kylie Minogue officially wrapped up her Tension Tour in Mexico. The tour began in Australia in February.

To mark the final stop, Kylie announced this week that she’s releasing a live album of the tour, Tension Tour//Live 2025, digitally on September 26.

A vinyl edition of the live concert album will also follow in 2026.
