Learning Luxury: 3 Iconic Brands Join Forces With NEOMA & POLIMI’s Flagship Master’s
Three of the world’s most iconic luxury brands are stepping into the classroom, teaming up with one of Europe’s leading master’s programs to give students front-row access to the heart of an industry in hyper-growth mode.
Ferrari, Louis Vuitton, and Bvlgari have partnered with the International Master in Luxury Management, a double-degree program jointly delivered by NEOMA Business School in France and POLIMI Graduate School of Management in Italy.
The new alliances come at a time when the global luxury sector continues to surge, with revenues eclipsing €300 billion in 2024 and projected to grow to more than €350 billion this year.
REAL-WORLD INSIGHT FROM INDUSTRY ICONS
As the luxury market expands, so does the demand for graduates who combine academic excellence with real-world experience — a hallmark of the IMLUX approach.
POLIMI Dean Federico Frattini: “It’s about more than learning — it’s about becoming part of the ecosystem”
“Equipping students to take on strategic roles in luxury means exposing them directly to the industry’s leaders,” says Fabrizio Maria Pini, the program’s director at POLIMI GSoM, in a news release accompanying the announcement. “These new collaborations allow our students to blend advanced academic insights with concrete experience inside top global brands.”
Each new partnership introduces students to a different dimension of the luxury value chain:
- Louis Vuitton, the crown jewel of the LVMH empire, will provide masterclasses, industry case studies, and behind-the-scenes atelier visits in France. “Passing down expertise is essential,” says Sarah Bourouba, who oversees academic partnerships at Louis Vuitton. “These interactions help us connect with the next generation of talent and share the contemporary challenges our house is facing.”
- Bvlgari, celebrated for its bold design and Roman heritage, will engage students in Italy through project work and dedicated brand immersion experiences. “We aim to provide meaningful insights into Italian craftsmanship and the essence of the luxury industry,” says Laura Burdese, the brand’s deputy CEO.
- Ferrari, synonymous with Italian excellence and precision engineering, will offer a student challenge culminating in an exclusive visit to the Ferrari Museum and factory in Maranello. “Our partnership aims to inspire students to tackle the luxury sector’s challenges while equipping them to become part of its legacy,” says Dennis de Munck, Ferrari’s head of university partnerships.
‘CSR IS NO LONGER OPTIONAL’
IMLUX, a 15- to 18-month program that awards a double degree from NEOMA and POLIMI, is delivered entirely in English and structured around two semesters: one in Milan — known as the fashion capital of the world — and the second in Reims, France, a city renowned for its cultural and luxury heritage. The program’s cohorts are typically diverse, representing more than 20 nationalities.
Tuition fees for the IMLUX program are €25,000. The next cohort begins their studies in October.
“The collaboration enables our students to immerse themselves in the best of French and Italian business excellence,” says Federico Frattini, dean of POLIMI GSoM. “It’s about more than learning — it’s about becoming part of the ecosystem.”
NEOMA Dean Delphine Manceau adds that the curriculum also prioritizes contemporary priorities such as Corporate Social Responsibility. “CSR is no longer optional,” she says. “Our students must be prepared to lead responsibly in this fast-changing sector.”
