Levitt AMP Springfield Music Series Returns This Summer
Downtown Springfield is getting ready to groove as the Levitt AMP Music Series returns for another season of free, family-friendly concerts. Starting May 29th, the Y Block; located near the Governor’s Mansion, it will transform every Thursday evening into a hub of live music, food, and community fun.
The weekly concerts kick off with a Kids’ Kickoff at 6:30 p.m., followed by an opening act at 7 p.m., and the headliner taking the stage at 8 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets to enjoy the performances in comfort. Local food trucks and vendors will also be on-site for refreshments.
This year’s lineup features a diverse mix of musical genres—from jazz and country to reggae, blues, and Latin—bringing national and international acts to Springfield’s stage. Artists like Janet Evra, Emily Nenni, and Cedric Burnside are just a few names you’ll see this season.
Presented by the Springfield Area Arts Council, with support from the Levitt Foundation and PNC Bank, the concert series highlights the power of free music to bring people together and activate public spaces.
Whether you’re looking to discover new artists or simply enjoy summer evenings downtown, the Levitt AMP series offers something for everyone. For full concert listings and updates, visit: levitt.org/amp-springfield-il
