LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — A convicted sex offender from Lewiston has been accused of making sexual comments toward children on TikTok.
Police arrested 50-year-old Michael Bouffard of Lewiston on Monday.
Police say an investigation determined Bouffard was the account holder responsible for making sexual comments directed toward children on TikTok.
Bouffard was convicted of possession of child sexual abuse material in 2006.
He has now been charged with failing to comply with the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act.
Bouffard was taken to the Androscoggin County Jail where his bail was set at $500 cash.
