Lilly Gerrard has issued a hearfelt tribute to her baby daughter. The 21-year-old has been sharing regular updates from her life since gave birth to Lila Grey last month on July 15.
Steven Gerrard’s eldest daughter has welcomed her new bundle of joy into the world, alongside long term partner, Lee Byrne. She has taken to Instagram today to share adorable new snaps with her daughter. She cradled her daughter, Lilly, in a snap shared with her 231,000 followers.
She captioned the post: “Adore you.” In the photo, Lila was dressed in a Nanouchka Newborn Gift Set from fashion brand, Dior. The pale pink cotton interlock and voile outfit is priced at £480.
The Liverpool FC legend’s daughter has carried on a family tradition as she confirmed the name of her new bundle of joy last month. She said: “So lucky to be your mum. My beautiful baby girl. Lila Grey. Perfection.”
The adorable name is in keeping with a family tradition as the retired Reds’ midfielder and his wife Alex gave all of their children names beginning with L. In addition to Lilly, Gerrard and Alex are the proud parents of Lexie, Lourdes and Lio.
It is clear that Steven Gerrard has embraced his new role as grandad as he recently shared a photograph of himself on “grandad duty.” The 45-year-old shared a snap cradling Lila with his Instagram followers. Lilly also shared a photograph of her younger brother Lio, eight, as he lay with Lila Grey under his arm.

New parents, Lilly and Lee, enjoyed their first night out a few weeks ago since becoming mum and dad. The two went to Drake’s concert at the Co-Op Live arena in Manchester.
Lilly captioned the post: “Mum and dad are out” with a celebration emoji and red love heart emoji. She shared an adorable snap alongside her partner as the couple enjoyed their night away from their newborn.
Lilly celebrated a special milestone earlier this month when she marked a month since Lila was born. She shared a snap cradling Lila, alongside the caption: “Can’t believe you are 1 month old today.”
It has been a big few weeks for the family as Lilly also revealed it was Lee’s 26th birthday recently.
Gerrard gave his seal of approval to his daughter’s partner in celebration of Lee’s birthday. Alongside a collage of the family of three, she said: “Happy birthday to my Lee. Hope your day is as special as you are to me. Thank you for everything and being the best dad to our little girl. Love you.”
The former Liverpool FC midfielder marked the occasion with a snap of Lee with his granddaughter as he embraced him as a member of the family.
He said: “Happy birthday to my son in law.” Lilly has been dating Lee for over two years as they went public with their romance in a series of snaps posted from their time in Ibiza, Spain.
