Lindsay Lohan explains her relationship with Netflix: ‘I can’t do movies…’

Lindsay Lohan makes major decision about her career

Freaky Friday famed Lindsay Lohan marked her comeback with Netflix in 2022 after a hiatus.

Lohan took a break from acting for sometime to focus more on her personal life and refreshment.

In 2022, the 38-year-old featured in Falling for Christmas along with Chord Overstreet. Her comeback project was backed by the streaming giant.

After this, Lindsay starred in Irish War and Out Little Secret in 2024, both streamed on Netflix.

However, she credits the streaming platform for giving her the space to mark her big return, but now she also believes it’s time for her to switch up her roles.

She added, “During COVID, I was like, ‘I want to work with Netflix.’ I kept writing it in my journal and saying it. And then that’s what happened. I was like, ‘Oh, it’d be nice to do three films with them, and then see where that goes.”

Lohan told Elle, “I love making movies for that reason—for people to escape and find something that they can take into their own life and realize everything’s going to be okay. But with Netflix, I was like, ‘Okay, now we need to be thinking about other stuff.’ I can’t do movies like these forever.”

The Mean Girls star is going to feature the sequel of her 2003 film, which is now titled as Freakier Friday. The film also features Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray.
