Those who purchased tickets early on may have received their wristbands in the mail. Others will need to pick up their wristband at the box office, which will open at noon on Wednesday, April 30.
The box office is located inside WFAE at First Ward Park, located at 301 East 7th Street in Uptown.
Ticketholders will need to provide their Etix confirmation email and/or order number. Anyone who won tickets will need to bring their confirmation email and ID to pick up wristbands.
Here are the box office hours leading up to and during the festival:

Traffic and road closures
Tens of thousands of people were expected to attend the music festival, and several roads are closed for the event. There were also other events schedule in Charlotte this weekend, including a Kendrick Lamar concert on Saturday.
Expect an increase in traffic in and near Uptown Charlotte this weekend.
Streets on and near festival grounds were closed to traffic starting Thursday, May 1, including:
- North Brevard Street between 7th and 9th streets.
- North Caldwell Street between 7th and 9th streets.
- East 7th, 8th and 9th streets between North Caldwell Street and the light rail tracks west of First Ward Park.
Those roads were expected to reopen early on Monday, May 5.
Some other lane closures were expected to last into the morning of Wednesday, May 7 while the festival gets torn down. Those closures will impact North Brevard and North Caldwell streets, officials said.

We’re tracking road closures and the traffic impact of the Lovin’ Life Music Fest returning to Charlotte on May 2-4, 2025.
Parking and transportation
Street parking around Uptown will be limited with so many people in town.
Parking garages and parking lots will still be available for drivers around the city — though some nearest the festival grounds will be closed during the event. Parking prices will vary by garage and lot.
Public transportation is also available. Festivalgoers can ride into Uptown on a CATS bus or light rail. Some light rail stations allow you to park there for free, and ride the light rail to your destination. You will need to purchase a light rail ticket.
City officials urge attendees to use public transportation, rather than trying to park in Uptown this weekend.
Scroll down for more details about Charlotte’s light rail and how to use it.
Concertgoers can also, of course, use ride sharing services to get to and from the event. Organizers ask that you provide the following address for picking up and dropping off: 418 North College Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Theme nights (what to wear!)
Event organizers have established themes for concertgoers throughout the weekends.
The totally optional, but objectively fun, themes include:
- Friday: Bring back the 90s.
- Saturday: Island in the sun — plus a special “Bald Cap Night” on Saturday in honor of Pitbull.
- Sunday: Peace and love.
Organizers say there will be teams out and about early each day during the festival to find the “best dressed” and “most creative” fans to surprise with upgrades.

Festival forecast
Our First Alert meteorologists were tracking shower and storm chances in Charlotte this weekend. High temperatures will be in the mid-80s on Friday, low 80s on Saturday, and upper 70s on Sunday.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms were possible Friday afternoon, but our meteorologists didn’t expect Charlotte to see too much rain.
There was an 80% chance for wet weather on Saturday, however. Rounds of showers and storms were expected throughout the afternoon and evening, starting at around 2 p.m.
The risk of severe weather was slightly higher Saturday than it was Friday, but still remained relatively low. Some storms could produce lightning, downpours, with damaging winds possible, and a low threat of hail on Saturday.
Heavier showers and storms were expected overnight into Sunday morning. Rain should move out by about 7 a.m. on Sunday, and the rest of the day should stay dry.
You can watch the full forecast below.
As a cool front slowly approaches from the west, the chances for showers and thunderstorms will ramp up on Saturday.

Lovin’ Life Music Fest has its very own app, available in the iOS App Store and on Google Play.
Organizers say the “must have” app will include the festival lineup, an interactive map, planning features, food and beverages available, and more.

How to use Charlotte’s light rail system
Charlotte’s light rail, known officially as the LYNX Blue Line, goes from south Charlotte near I-485 to the University of North Carolina’s Charlotte campus.
Closer to Uptown, the city’s downtown area, there are stations on Brooklyn Village Avenue, as well as 3rd, Trade and 7th streets. There are also a few light rail stations in the South End neighborhood off South Boulevard at East Boulevard, East Park Avenue, and East Carson Boulevard.
The Blue Line runs every 20 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes during late night hours on weekends.
You can get the latest schedule updates on the CATS website, the CATS-Pass app, and on social media.
How to buy light rail tickets
You can buy light rail tickets at vending machines present at all LYNX Blue Line stations and stops, or on your phone using the CATS-Pass app. One-way tickets are $2.20 each, and are valid for 90 minutes once activated.
Blue Line riders are required to have a valid ticket or pass with a valid date and time in order to ride. Passengers’ tickets are subject to review by light rail operators. Fare inspectors and police officers check for valid tickets and passes aboard the Blue Line.
Failure to have a valid ticket or pass could result in a $50 citation, and you may face a Class 3 misdemeanor charge, according to CATS.
Tickets purchased on the CATS-Pass app can be used for the Blue Line, Gold Line, and bus routes operated by CATS.
Light rail park and ride stations
Don’t live near a light rail? You can actually park for free at a LYNX park and ride station, and take the light rail into Uptown to the festival.

- I-485/South Boulevard
- Sharon Road West
- Arrowood
- Archdale
- Tyvola
- Woodlawn
