Liwa FC UAE opens football academy in Nigeria

Liwa FC from the UAE has launched football academy in Nigeria.

The academy hopes to target both professionals and young players who are interested in combining education and football.

In a ceremony held in Abuja over the weekend, Liwa FC representatives, Captain Mostafa Ali Elsaid, and Captain Alhamnadi Anwar were on hand to witness a partnership that hopes to give young footballers in Nigeria a pathway to achieving their desire to play football Abroad.

Chairman Liwa Academy Nigeria, Moo Mohammed, said young Nigerian kids now have the opportunity to enjoy scholarships and get connected to their dreams that could see them play in the oil rich UAE.

“We want to have a lot of young footballers who are passionate, talented, win a scholarship from Liwa football academy to play in some international schools in different countries and also play football.

“We are here not just to discover talents but also to nurture, develop them and connect them to their dreams.

“Liwa Academy UAE brings on board total sponsorship. Liwa Academy Nigeria represents Liwa FC UAE. It’s like having the same football club in various countries. Everything we will do here will be the same, our kits, programmes, trainings, clinics, etc will be the same as our parent club,” Moo said.

The special guest of honor, mandate zecretariat, FCT, Dr Adedayomi Benjamin Laniyi, said she beleives with the abundant football talents in Nigeria, Liwa FC will help shape the future of football in the country.

Liwa FC is an Emirati professional football club based in Abu Dhabi.
