Local musician to open new collectibles haven on Cincinnati’s West Side
CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A new and unique collectibles store, Riley’s ROCK’N RETRO, is set to open its doors on Cincinnati’s West Side early next month. The store is the brainchild of Joe Riley, a local professional musician.
Riley, who released his album “The Axeman Unleashed” in 2023 has been featured in Guitar World magazine and is set to be inducted into the Southeastern Indiana Musicians Hall of Fame this November.
The inspiration for Riley’s ROCK’N RETRO came from Riley’s visits to tourist areas in Tennessee, Missouri, and Wisconsin. He envisioned a store filled with eye-catching collectibles and unique items all in one place. It will replace the former Hansel N Gretel antique toys store in the White Oak area.
Riley’s ROCK’N RETRO will feature a wide array of collectibles, including t-shirts, posters, toys, music and movie memorabilia, guitars, retro BMX bicycles, custom artwork, and horror collectibles. The store will also boast a “Hall of Horrors” room, showcasing original artwork by famous musicians and serial killers.
The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 7, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
