Jude Bellingham’s work wardrobe is about to sync with his off-duty looks, wrote Women’s Wear Daily, while Spanish sports news outlet said Real Madrid will now be more than a football club and an institution: It will not be a symbol of absolute style.

With a multi-year deal to be dressed in luxury by Louis Vuitton, Real Madrid has just gone up another notch, not just on the pitch, but off it. However, the club’s jerseys are and will continue to be designed by Adidas.

The world’s most glamorous team is now teamed up with the world’s most glamorous fashion maison in a move that feels less a collaboration and more a perfect match. It isn’t just a sponsor logo. This is a game-changing lifestyle alliance — a moment when two powerhouses collide.

LV already dressed Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid, freshly-crowned European champions, have chosen Louis Vuitton to become their official travel trunk supplier — a glamorous affirmation that their players will arrive and depart in style, wherever their European tour might take them.

The deal brings together a team filled with superstar players — from Jude Bellingham to Vinicius Junior — with a fashion label that’s a byword for prestige, discretion and excellence. The first manifestation is a custom Louis Vuitton trunk designed to carry the most iconic piece of silverware in European football — the European Cup.

The trunk made its debut alongside the team after their triumph at Wembley, adding a dramatic finishing flourish to a story already rich in glory.

The French fashion house signed Bellingham, who plays midfield for Real Madrid, as a brand ambassador last year and has dressed him for prestigious events such as the Ballon d’Or ceremony, WWD reported.

Now, he and his teammates, including Kylian Mbappé, Thibaut Courtois and Vinícius Júnior, will dress in a wardrobe designed by Pharrell Williams, creative director of menswear at Vuitton, for major travel and events.

Football and luxury royalties meet

“It’s football royalty meets luxury royalty,” Pietro Beccari, chairman and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton, told WWD.

“Because ultimately, football is the number-one sport worldwide, and Real Madrid is a legendary team, on top of that. Louis Vuitton has just as much aura, being the global leader. I think it’s a perfect marriage and an authentic one,” he added.

Real Madrid’s institutional relations director, Emilio Butragueño, said, “At Real Madrid, we relentlessly pursue excellence as the path to remain at the top. That same philosophy defines a brand as iconic in the luxury industry as Louis Vuitton.”

He added: “Both of us have managed to transcend time, and we share not only the responsibility of building a legacy, but also the purpose of inspiring the world beyond our respective industries.”

Beccari, a former professional footballer, said Louis Vuitton has partnered with FIFA, the sport’s international governing body, since 2010 to create the trunk for the World Cup winner’s trophy. “Today, this partnership with a football club marks a new era and predicts a very positive future,” he noted.

The terms of the deal have not been revealed. However, the commercial agreement includes formal wardrobes for Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams. It also includes the men’s basketball team, as well as ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories that will be worn during official representations.
