The egg is made from 70 per cent dark chocolate and has a roasted hazelnut filling.
Carved with the brand’s monogram pattern and decorated with milk chocolate handles and zipper pulls, it could almost be mistaken for the real thing.
The limited-edition chocolate egg will set sweet-toothed fashion fans back £189.
But it’s just a fraction of the price of the original leather bag, which retailed at around £2,500.
Shoppers can also buy a set of six smaller eggs – with the Louis Vuitton logo – for £60.
The mix of dark and milk chocolate treats are filled with either a raspberry caramel and pistachio praline, creamy blue vanilla caramel and crispy buckwheat gianduja, or Tahitian vanilla caramel and hazelnut praline.
A smaller box of three eggs is also up for grabs for £34.
The chocolates are available exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores in Paris, Shanghai, Singapore and New York.
We bought our 4-year-old daughter a Louis Vuitton bag – people say it’s ‘ridiculous’ but it’s a good inventment
