Mahindra & Mahindra reports 15% YoY growth in sales for February 2025

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s leading automotive companies, has reported a 15% year-on-year growth in total auto sales for February 2025, with 83,702 vehicles sold, including exports.

Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M, commented, “In February, we clocked SUV sales of 50420, a growth of 19% and 83702 total vehicles, a growth of 15%. This strong performance is a result of a continued positive momentum for our SUV portfolio.”

SUV Sales

Mahindra’s Utility Vehicles (SUVs) segment continues its strong performance, with 50,420 units sold in the domestic market, marking a 19% growth compared to February 2024. Overall, 52,386 SUVs were sold, including exports.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., the consistent growth in SUV sales is fueled by positive customer sentiment and a strong product lineup.

Commercial Vehicles & 3-Wheelers Performance

  • Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) 2T – 3.5T sales increased by 9%, with 19,155 units sold.
  • LCV > 3.5T + MHCV sales grew 23%, reaching 1,381 units.
  • Three-wheelers saw a 4% growth, with 6,395 units sold.

Exports Surge by 99%

Mahindra’s global footprint expanded significantly, with 3,061 units exported in February 2025, reflecting a 99% year-on-year increase. Year-to-date exports also saw a 32% rise, with 30,566 units shipped.
