Man Utd Line up Surprise Move for ‘Unbelievable’ £3.5m Forward

Manchester United are paying close attention to Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi’s situation, according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth.

The Red Devils are looking to bolster their squad this summer for Ruben Amorim, with concerns over the future of Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho while all of Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Antony are expected to leave permanently during the transfer window.

That has seen the club take a look at potential options to come in, and now a new name has been mentioned as a target.

Winger out of contract in 2026

Hudson-Odoi, who has been described as “unbelievable” by Paul Merson, has been in electric form for Nottingham Forest this season under Nuno Espirito Santo, helping the team to push for Champions League football.

The winger, who came through the Chelsea academy and joined Forest for £3.5m, has registered five goals and two assists in the Premier League this season, but his performances have been key to the team’s successes alongside Morgan Gibbs-White, Anthony Elanga and Chris Wood.

Now Man Utd have reportedly been keeping a close eye on the player’s situation with his contract at the City Ground set to expire in 2026 and no new agreement in sight. Talks between Forest and Hudson-Odoi about a new deal are said to be ongoing.

Serie A clubs Roma and Napoli are also said to be keeping an eye on the player’s situation, and could make a move for the 24-year-old if he now becomes available for transfer.

Man Utd are not only keeping an eye on Hudson-Odoi, with the club also in very advanced talks to sign Wolves star Matheus Cunha for one of their number ten positions.

Sky Sports have also reported that a deal to sign Ipswich striker Liam Delap is “very close”, with the player open to moving to Old Trafford to take the number nine position should they win the Europa League final.
