Manastirliu: 80 New Science Labs to Be Added This Year
Students in Albania’s 9-year and high schools are now learning physics, chemistry, and biology in modern laboratories with European-standard equipment.
Education Minister Ogerta Manastirliu visited the “Qemal Stafa” high school in Tirana, observing students conducting practical experiments in the new science labs.
“This year, 80 more science labs will be added to schools, providing optimal conditions for students and teachers,” said Manastirliu.
She emphasized that practical learning makes lessons more engaging, and the Ministry is allocating budgets to equip schools with necessary materials for science subjects.
Manastirliu also noted that investments are focused on improving the laboratory infrastructure and teaching standards, as lab work sparks greater student interest.
The new labs are equipped with modern tools for chemistry, physics, and biology, enabling students to explore scientific processes firsthand. These upgrades include microscopes, scientific equipment, and other specialized materials for both 9-year students and high school seniors preparing for university.
