Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Gets Updated Features In India – Check What’s New
Maruti Suzuki has quietly gone about implementing a bunch of feature updates on the Ertiga MPV in India. The new features are meant to add further comfort and convenience for families and have not come with an official announcement. However, you can find the revised feature list in the MPV’s new brochure on the carmaker’s website. Among the major ones are repositioned AC vents, additional USB ports, and a reworked spoiler. These tweaks aim to enhance usability without altering the Ertiga’s core appeal—versatile seating and reliable performance. Let’s break down the updates that both everyday commuters and long-distance travellers are expected to appreciate.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga New Features
Improved Airflow And Charging Convenience
A major upgrade in this model is the repositioning of the air-conditioning vents. The second-row vents have now shifted from the roof to below the centre console, thus easier for passengers to access. There are now dedicated vents for the third row as well with a provision of controlling the speed of the blower from the right side. For added convenience, Maruti has also introduced Type-C USB ports-each for the second and third rows—making device charging more accessible for all passengers.
Spoiler Update Across Variants
Furthermore, Maruti has added a redesigned rear roof spoiler, available as standard across all variants of the Ertiga. It gets black inserts on each curve, thereby offering a uniform and contemporary look for all trims.
Enhanced Safety With Six Airbags
Earlier this year, Maruti also made six airbags standard across all Ertiga variants, aligning with broader safety expectations and regulations. While the improvement isn’t new, it adds important context to the range of enhancements the model has received.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Powertrain And Price
On the mechanical front, Ertiga remains unaltered. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol unit, which churns out 103 hp and 136.8Nm. The unit comes mated to a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. A CNG variant with 89 hp and 121.5Nm of torque is also available, coupled to a manual transmission.
As far as price range is concerned, the 7-seater MPV starts at Rs 8.97 lakh and goes up all the way to Rs 13.26 lakh. Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.
