Maruti Suzuki February sales rise marginally to 199,400 units, ET Auto
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Maruti Suzuki India reported a slight increase in its total vehicle sales for February 2025, reaching 199,400 units, compared to 197,471 units in February 2024.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales also saw a minor rise, with 160,791 units sold last month, against 160,271 units sold the previous year, the company reported. The auto major reported a decline in its exports figure for the month, with just 25,021 units shipped, compared to 28,927 units in February 2024.
The country’s largest car manufacturer showed mixed results for its various vehicle segments. The mini segment, including the Alto and S-Presso, experienced a decline, selling 10,226 units, compared to 14,782 units in February 2024.
The compact car segment, which includes models like the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, saw increased sales, reaching 72,942 units compared to 71,627 units a year earlier.
On the other hand, utility vehicle sales, encompassing the Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and Jimny, also saw growth, reaching 65,033 units last month, up from 61,234 units in February of the previous year.
Eeco van and commercial vehicle sales
Sales of the Eeco van decreased to 11,493 units in February 2025 from 12,147 units in February 2024. Similarly, sales of the Super Carry light commercial vehicle dropped to 2,710 units last month, down from 3,126 units the previous year.
Total domestic sales (PV+LCV+OEM) of Maruti Suzuki for February 2025 is reported at 174,379 units, compared to 168,544 sold in the same period last year.
