Mercedes G-Wagon India Edition To Launch On This Date! Here’s What We Know So Far News24 –
Mercedes Benz India has confirmed the arrival of a collectors edition of AMG G63- the India Edition. The vehicle is all set to be launched on July 12. This, would be the first time when Mercedes is producing a one off special edition vehicle specifically for India.
Mercedes has not revealed any details about the one off car yet, although its has been detailed that the car might have special interiors with a special paint job that would commemorate the cultural heritage of the nation.
The Indian Edition would get a Vibrant orange paint job, exclusive to this model. We can expect some unique visual enhancements as well. The car would possibly have custom wheels, distinctive badging and custom cut alloy wheels and beyond that an Indian themed graphics or decals as well.
What To Expect ?
Mercedes has not revealed much of the details regarding the vehicle. Its been elucidated by media reports that the vehicle has been configured by Mercedes Benz and Mercedes Benz research and Development team. This would be the first time that Mercedes has done a special variant for India. The Car would be equipped with unique interiors, exterior, trim pieces that explore and celebrate Indian themes and aesthetics. Its possible that the car might be launched in Bespoke shades that represent India. Manufacturers often divulge in such celebratory editions.
Range Rover had also done a Himalayan Edition which celebrated the Himalayas. Considering the popularity that the G Wagon has witnessed in India its only evident that these special editions would be booked and bought as soon as its launched quite like the Golf Gti.

The AMG G63 collectors Edition would only feature a cosmetic update, the car would still be powered by a 4.0 litre Twin Turbo V8 with a mild 48V mild Hybrid Tech. The G-Wagon would be able to produce 585 Hp and 850Nm of peak Torque. The Engine would be paired to a 9 speed DCT gearbox with paddle shifters. The Expected Price of the car would be around Rs 3.64 Crore. Although no booking process or any other details on how to avail for the vehicle have been revealed its expected that the edition would consist of a limited number of models.
