MG Windsor EV achieves sales of 27,000 units in eight months – Car News

The MG Windsor has achieved sales of over 27,000 units in eight months and non-metros constitute almost 48% of its total sales.

JSW MG Motor India today announced that the Windsor, India’s best-selling EV, has surpassed the 27,000 sales milestone in a span of eight months. The recently introduced Windsor EV PRO with a larger battery pack had clocked 8,000 bookings within 24 hours of its launch in May 2025. 
 
In addition to metros, non-metros constitute almost 48% of its total sales, and for the last few months, Windsor has been the best-selling electric vehicle in India, surpassing the Nexon EV, which was the best-seller earlier.

MG Windsor EV specifications

The MG Windsor is available with two battery pack options. The first is a 38kWh battery pack version that offers a range of 331km on a full charge. The next is the recently launched Windsor Pro, which comes with a 52.9kWh battery pack that offers a range of 449km on a full charge.

Regardless of which version one chooses, the Windsor EV’s electric motor makes 134bhp and 200Nm of torque. Inside, the Windsor EV gets a massive 15.6-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity and a host of other features including a digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, automatic climate control, cruise control, and more.

In terms of safety, the Windsor EV gets six airbags as standard, along with a reversing camera, parking sensors, ABS with EBD, 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, hill hold, and more.
