Mihir Rale Appointed Partner at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas to Lead Digital+ Practice, ET BrandEquity

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas has announced the appointment of Mihir Rale as a partner and co-head of its Digital | TMT practice within the newly formed Digital+ Practice. Rale will be based in the firm’s Mumbai office.

Mihir Rale brings over 23 years of extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions, legal strategy, corporate governance, regulation & policy, and compliance matters, with a focus on technology, data, telecommunications, and traditional sectors. He previously served as the general counsel for Star and Disney India, completing 15 years with the company in 2024. His career has been marked by successfully navigating complex industry issues at the nexus of technology, regulation, competition, and intellectual property.

A 2002 graduate of ILS Law College, Pune, Rale has held significant leadership roles within industry bodies, including co-chairing the FICCI IPR Committee and the CII Digital Media Committee. He has also been an integral part of the FICCI M&E Committee and the CII National Regulatory Committee. The Digital+ Practice, co-headed by Rale and Arun Prabhu, comprises five additional specialist partners and a team of 30 lawyers operating across Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
