According to Ormax Media, Saiyaara has been watched by 5.5 million viewers since its debut on September 12, surpassing Coolie that registered 4.7 million viewers from September 11. Saiyaara has topped the chart of the five most-watched films in the first week of their digital debuts, followed by Coolie.

Other most-watched films last week, according to Ormax, are Manoj Bajpayee’s Inspector Zende with a viewership of 2.5 million from Netflix, Vijay Devarakonda’s Kingdom with 2.3 million viewership from Netflix, and Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik with 2 million viewership from Amazon Prime Video.

The Hindi romance drama, which released in theatres on July 18, ran for 53 weeks in cinemas, making Rs 569.75 crore in worldwide collection, as per Sacnilk. The story follows musician Krish and lyricist Vaani’s romance story while struggling with health issues. Saiyaara saw Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s shining debut in the industry, attaining instant popularity, especially among youngsters, and became a blockbuster success.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie outperformed Hrithik Roshan’s War 2 at the box office, despite Jr. NTR making his big Bollywood debut.
