SEATTLE — In her past two competitions, Amanda Moll has rewritten the NCAA recordbooks in the pole vault. Both times, the following Monday she has been recognized as the USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week. Moll won the Big Ten Indoor Championship pole vault title last Friday in Indianapolis, breaking her own NCAA Record once again.

Moll needed the record just to hold off sister Hana, who went to No. 2 in NCAA history with her own epic day, making 15-9 1/4 at Fall Creek Pavilion as UW competed in its first ever Big Ten Indoor Championships. The sisters had a 1-2 finish, and Amanda broke the Meet Record by more than a foot. Amanda cleared 16-1 1/4 for the victory, two weeks after she became the first collegian ever to clear 16-feet, done at the Don Kirby Invite in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Amanda now ranks in a tie for 8th in world history indoors or outdoors, and improved her world-leading mark in 2025. This is her second National Athlete of the Week honor in a three-week span. She and Hana will both be off for Virginia Beach, Va. for the NCAA Indoor Championships in two weeks, where Hana is the defending champion.
