Mongolian National Olympic Committee to Support Consultant Kazuhito Sakae

Ulaanbaatar, September 1, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Renowned Japanese wrestling coach Kazuhito Sakae will serve as a consultant to Mongolia’s national freestyle wrestling team until the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics.

Officials of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) received him on August 29, 2025. At the meeting, the Mongolian Wrestling Federation (MWF) noted that, until the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics, Coach Kazuhito Sakae will jointly work as a consultant in the training of the national team’s male and female athletes and provided information regarding related activities. Based on research on factors contributing to the Olympic success of veteran athletes, the Federation has fully equipped and put into use two rooms designated for athletes’ rest between training sessions. The MNOC provided financial support for the arrangement of these rooms.

Consultant Kazuhito Sakae has signed a contract to provide guidance not only on the training, technique, psychology, and planning of Olympic athletes but also to organize training programs for the national team and provincial coaches aimed at improving the freestyle wrestling training system.

During the meeting, Kazuhito Sakae said, “If an athlete can define their method to achieve success and fully mobilize their mindset, nothing can prevent reaching the pinnacle of achievement. I will devote all my strength to helping Mongolian athletes achieve success at the Los Angeles 2028 Summer Olympics. I appreciate the support of the MNOC.” The MNOC will provide funding of USD 25,000 over two years to Consultant Kazuhito Sakae under the framework of the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity Programme.
