(LILAMAX)- Boeing is starting the day with a major win. The White House announced that the nation of Qatar has agreed to purchase 210 planes from the U.S. aerospace giant, in a deal valued at $96 billion.

GE Aerospace will manufacture the 400 engines needed for the aircraft, with the deal expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs across the aviation and manufacturing sectors.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is reportedly in advanced discussions to acquire Foot Locker in a deal worth $2.3 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal. The potential merger would give Dick’s a significant international footprint and greater negotiating power with top athletic brands like Nike and Adidas.

U.S. markets closed mixed on Wednesday, though investor sentiment remained upbeat. Stocks have gained this week as trade tensions with China showed signs of easing, fueling optimism across sectors.

Factories in China that produce Halloween goods are ramping back up after a delay in U.S. tariffs. The 145% tariff had previously halted production, making items too expensive to sell. With the delay in place, production is resuming just in time for the Halloween season. Notably, about 90% of Halloween items sold in the U.S. are made in China.

LugLess has released findings from its 2025 travel survey, revealing key trends for the summer travel season. 87 percent of respondents plan to fly this year. 45 percent say they’ll fly more than they did in 2024, and 58 percent are interested in using luggage shipping services. Despite rising travel costs, many still prefer checking bags at the airport—69 percent say they always or occasionally do. Cleanliness is also top of mind: 53 percent clean their luggage after every use, and nearly 30 percent do so occasionally.
