Mount Union music faculty to perform recital

Faculty members at University of Mount Union will perform Sept. 4 for a lunchtime concert in Giese Center for the Performing Arts.

Theta Omicron Chapter of the Society of Pi Kappa Lambda will play host to the 11:15 a.m. event. The hour-long concert will open the 2025–2026 season for the Department of Performing Arts. The concert will be presented in Presser Recital Hall, located in the Cope Music Hall.

The recital will feature Amy Haines, flute; Allison Hillier, piano; Beth Polen, flute; Julie Sarver, flute; Bohdan Subchak, violin; Brent Schloneger, piano; and Raquel Teare, piano.

The program for the showcase will include musical works by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Leonard Bernstein, Fritz Kreisler, Franz Schubert and Yiruma, as well as traditional Irish music.

The Society of Pi Kappa Lambda is the college honor society in music and was admitted into the Association of College Honor Societies in 1940. It was chartered April 29, 1997, at Mount Union.
