Music for These Moments: A spring concert May 31 at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains | News

Music director Toby Thomas-Rose and the Rev. Kevin Tarsa, taking turns at the piano, team up with a set of talented members and friends to offer an evening of dynamic and varied music Saturday, May 31, 7 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Community of the Mountains in Grass Valley.

The concert, “Music for These Moments,” features music from Beethoven to John Cage, including also pieces by Antonin Dvorak, Russel Peterson, John Williams, Ola Gjeilo, Albert Doppler, Olafur Arnalds, and more, plus a surprise or two and a chance to sing along!

Noted local classical pianist Thomas-Rose and lifelong musician Rev. Tarsa will be joined by UUCM members Kathryn Canan, flute, and Randy McKean, clarinet and saxophone, and local musicians and friends Rose-May Mickelson, violin, and Martha Yourd, cello.
