Saturday’s line-up features 1980s duo Go West, whose hits include King of Wishful Thinking and Love it When You Call.
On Sunday, legendary singer, Tony Christie will take to the stage with his sing-a-long favourite, Amarillo; and ending the event will be American vocal group, Sister Sledge, whose hits include the disco anthem, We Are Family.
Jon Arrowsmith, managing director at event organiser Cocker Hoop Creative, said: “We’re thrilled with our amazing line up of toe-tapping music. Food and music are the heartbeats of life, one feeds the soul, the other feeds the spirit. At this year’s festival, they will come together to create unforgettable moments of joy, connection, and celebration.”
The festival promises to be a foodie paradise, with celebrity chefs appearing in the ‘big top cooking stage’, including James Martin, Simon Rimmer, Rosemary Shrager, Galton Blakiston, and Great British Menu contestant Tom Shepherd.
Baking enthusiasts will be kept entertained at the Great British Bake Off cookery tent where previous contestants will be whipping up cakes and bakes in front of a live audience. It will feature Amanda Geogiou, James Hillery, Val Stones, Janusz Domagala and Karen Wright who will all be chatting about their time in the famous TV baking tent.
Both day-trippers and weekend campers are welcome. There are plenty of options for a sleeping over including space for motorhomes, caravans, campervans or by staying in a luxury glamping tent.
Mr Arrowsmith added: “There is nothing like the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival in the north of England, and with prices starting from just £20 for a Friday day-ticket, it is also the best value. We are giving away 1000 free masterclasses and cookery demos across the weekend, from cheese and wine masterclasses to children’s chocolate masterclass. There’s something for everyone.”
The food and drink festival runs from July 18 to July 20. Tickets start at £20.
