Elon Musk has confirmed he plans to travel to India later this year, following a conversation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Reuters reported.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO shared the news on Saturday, April 19, on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “It was an honour to speak with PM Modi. I am looking forward to visiting India later this year!”
His post responded to an earlier message from Modi, who revealed he had spoken to Musk on April 18. The Prime Minister mentioned that their call revisited topics previously discussed during their meeting in Washington, DC.
“Spoke to @elonmusk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year,” Modi posted.
The leaders reportedly focused on deepening cooperation in tech and innovation. “We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains,” Modi added.
Musk’s announcement comes just ahead of a key diplomatic visit, with US Vice President JD Vance expected in India from April 21 to April 24.
