The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) has partnered with the Future Earth Africa Hub, a global research and innovation organization, to generate evidence-based research that addresses the needs of the country.

According to David Mkwambisi, Director of the Institute of Industrial Research and Innovation at MUST, the partnership aims to build the capacity of researchers, especially upcoming ones, to produce research that informs decision-making.

As the regional hub of Future Earth in Southern Africa, MUST’s partnership with the global research and innovation organization will focus on generating evidence-based research that addresses the country’s needs.

Mkwambisi said the role of the partnership is to ensure that researchers produce evidence that governments and other partners can use to make informed decisions.

“The role of this partnership is to make sure that researchers, especially upcoming researchers, are generating evidence for governments and other partners to be making decisions,” Mkwambisi said.
