Nayara Energy appoints Deepesh Baxi as CFO, CFO News, ETCFO
Deepesh Baxi, CFO, Nayara Energy
Indo-Russian oil refining company Nayara Energy has appointed Deepesh Baxi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 14, 2025.
With over 30 years of experience in finance, strategy, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A), Baxi has worked across key sectors, including Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Retail, and Manufacturing.
Before joining Nayara Energy, he served as the CFO & Whole-time Director at Castrol India Limited and held leadership roles at global giants like British Petroleum (bp) and Andersen.
Throughout his career, Baxi has led large, culturally diverse teams across the Asia Pacific and global markets.
A Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor (USA), and an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, Baxi has been recognized for his leadership, winning accolades such as Leading CFO of the Year 2022 by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and CXO of the Year 2020 by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
In his new role, Baxi will oversee Nayara Energy’s financial strategy and operations, driving its growth and strengthening its position in the energy sector.
