New 550-capacity music venue to open in Central London this month, 77
A new 550-capacity underground music venue is set to open in Marylebone, Central London, later this month, owners have revealed to Mixmag.
Named 77, the new venue will open its doors just off of Harley Street in central London on Friday, September 26, set below The BoTree Hotel.
77 promises to boast both live music programming across the season and DJ sets throughout the weekends, led by a team behind some of “London’s most iconic nightlife spots”.

Behind the new venue is a team of three “nightlife veterans”: Former Tao Group executive Jonathan Wade, programmer and festival host Eniz Hilmi, and hospitality operator Sebastian Banovic.
“We’ve designed 77 to deliver the same world class production experience you’d expect from a huge venue, whilst ensuring the connection between the artist and the audience is at the forefront,” says Hilmi, Director of Music at 77.
“Our focus is on creating a one-of-a-kind experience where both DJs and live acts can truly connect with the crowd,” he adds.

The new venue is fitted with an L-Acoustics soundsystem and “full-scale club production”, including quality lighting, lasers, CO2 jets and LED screens, all inside an “intimate, subterranean space”.
77 will also host extended, all-night-long DJ sets on weekends, according to Hilmi, “something that DJs rarely get the chance to do in London”.
The venue is also fully soundproofed with a “modular design” that can be adapted based on the type of event, and a split-level layout with an upper mezzanine area and a dancefloor below.
