India-based hospitality chain Sarovar Hotels and Panda Resorts have entered a partnership for the opening of a hotel in Puri, Odisha.

The upcoming launch of Sarovar Portico marks an addition to the region’s hospitality offerings, targeting leisure and business travellers with a four-star beachfront destination.

Slated to open in 2028, the property is strategically situated along the New Marine Drive, near Jagannath Temple.

Sarovar Portico will feature 70 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, banquet and conference halls. Additional amenities include a rooftop sky grill and bar, a swimming pool, a gym, and a spa.

The new hotel development is said to be in line with “Odisha’s broader vision to boost religious, cultural, and coastal tourism”.

The collaboration between the two companies has been facilitated by hotel advisory company SeaHorse Hospitality Consulting. This marks a step forward in the advisory business’s growing portfolio as a consultant in hotel brand partnerships and asset repositioning.

SeaHorse Hospitality Consulting founder and CEO Sandeep Roy said: “Puri deserves landmark hospitality, and this alliance brings a perfect blend of location, legacy and lifestyle.”

Earlier this year, Sarovar Hotels expanded its presence with the launch of an upscale property in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, under its Premiere brand, marking its third establishment in the city.

Moreover, Sarovar Hotels, in collaboration with Highland Constructions, inaugurated the Highland Sarovar Portico in Sindhudurg, further cementing its footprint in India’s hospitality sector.
